FAIR OAKS, Calif. – Junior Maria McDougall and sophomore Sandra Wallace won on their No. 1 and 2 singles courts by identical scores of 6-2, 6-1, but St. Francis lost the remaining singles and all three doubles matchups in a 7-2 loss to Oak Ridge in Sierra Foothill League girls' tennis dual action at Rollingwood YMCA Tuesday.

The Troubadours slip to 8-6 for the season with a 7-6 mark in le
ague play. The Trojans remain undefeated at 17-0 with a 12-0 SFL record.

McDougall dispatched OR freshman Alexa Olsen at No. 1 singles while Wallace rolled past junior Ilayda Koker at line 2 for the two St. Francis victories. Sophia Troppmann and Lena Mundhenk took their No. 4 and 5 singles matches to a tiebreaker but came up short in the one-game, 10-point third set: Troppmann fell, 10-5, to Joelle "Jojo" Nguyen on the No. 4 court; Mundhenk overcame a 6-3 loss in the first set to claim the second set before dropping a 10-4 tiebreaker.  

The match also represents the Troubies' final regular-season home match at Rollingwood, providing an opportunity to honor five seniors in festivities before and after the match: Troppman, Ava Ensberg, Kat Gensler, Ananya Saini and Laila Shamshad.  
St. Francis closes its dual season at Davis on Thursday. Schedule note: the match has been moved up to 2:30 p.m. to allow more play in daylight hours.
