SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Senior Norah Zhou and sophomore Anna Dinh each posted a singles victory as St. Francis dropped a pair of matches on the final day of the Golden State Tennis Classic, hosted by Menlo Saturday. The Troubadours fell, 5-1, to Henry M. Gunn; then dropped a 4-2 decision to Castilleja School in the nightcap.

Dinh opened the day with a split-set win over Gunn's Anjani Mirchandani at No. 4 singles, winning 6-4 before falling by a 6-2 score in the second set. She prevailed in a marathon 15-13 tiebreaker to pick up her team's lone win in the dual.

Zhou then claimed a straight-set, 6-2, 6-2 victory over Castilleja's Katy Zhen at No. 1 singles. Meanwhile the doubles team of Caroline Niethammer and Arini Tandon prevailed at the No. 2 line, 6-2, 6-4. 

The Troubies head into the final stretch of their 2022 regular season, return to action in their lone home match of the year: a key Delta League visit from Davis on Thursday. Match time is 3:45 p.m. at Rio Del Oro. The event also serves as Senior Day for seven 2023 grads: Zhou, Chloe Garcia, Hayley Labia, Lucy Phillips, Aniyus Pierre, Becca Weil and Madeline Welch. Thursday's match also includes the team's Booster-Q event.
