LOOMIS, Calif. – The St. Francis doubles pairings of Litzy Alengaden and Ava Ensberg, and Arden Garcia and Lena Mundhenk picked up wins in their respective lines, but the Troubadours had already lost five of the six singles match, as Del Oro defeated St. Francis, 6-3, in a Sierra Foothill League girls' tennis dual match Thursday.

Alengaden and Ensberg dispatched Jorja Veach and Estela Vesga in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2, at No. 2 doubles. Meanwhile, the Garcia/Mundhenk tandem went the distance against Caitlyn Stosend and Aubrie Holthaus, dropping the first-set tiebreaker before taking down the second set, 6-4, and the one-game tiebreaker set by a 10-3 final.

Junior Sophia Troppmann had the lone Troubadour singles victory, bouncing back from a 6-3 loss in the opener to claim a 6-2 second set before snaring the tiebreaker in a 10-8 battle.

St. Francis, now 3-4 for the seaoson and 1-3 in SFL play, returns to action on Tuesday for a home match with Oak Ridge. First serve is 4 p.m. at Rollingwood YMCA.
