FAIR OAKS, Calif. – St. Francis won its top five singles matches plus two out of three doubles en route to a 7 -2 win over Whitney in a Sierra Foothill League girls' tennis dual match at Rollingwood YMCA Tuesday. However, the primary focus of the match was the Troubadour senior class of Litzy Alengaden, Anna Dinh, Arden Garcia and Tatum Walbeck. The team honored the four 2025 grads-to-be during the prematch introductions and in a postmatch ceremony.

The Troubadours improve to 7-6 overall and 5-6 in SFL play.

Sophomore Maria McDougall won a wild No. 1 singles match over Alexa Cram, breezing 6-0 through the first set before dropping a 6-2 second, then coming away with a 10-7 victory in the tiebreaker – a stark contrast from McDougall's 6-3, 6-0 sweep in the previous meeting almost exactly one month ago. 

Freshman Alexandra Wallace, Walbeck, Dinh and junior Sophia Troppmann each delivered straight-set wins from Nos. 2 through 5 singles, respectively. Walbeck and Troppmann lost only one game in their matching 6-1, 6-0 wins over Sarah Choi and Natalie Nikdel, while Dinh dispatched Sierra Orosco by a 6-0, 6-2 final.

Garcia joined freshman Lena Mundhenk for a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles, while Isabella Bollinger and Nura Fananapazir got to wrap their 6-1, 6-3 win in No. 3 doubles over Allison Tyler and Sophia Sauer under the Rollingwood lights, with both teams watching from the adjacent court.

St. Francis still has two home dual matches remaining on the schedule but opted to host its Senior Night festivities to avoid conflicts with the school's Homecoming activities next week. The Troubies return to action on Thursday for a SFL dual with Del Oro. Match time is 4 p.m., again at Rollingwood YMCA.
