EL DORADO HILLS, Calif. – Senior Arden Han-Wei shot a 2-over-par 38 to lead St. Francis in a 223-209 loss to Oak Ridge in a rain-soaked Sierra Foothill League girls' golf dual match at Serrano Country Club Tuesday. The Troubadours move to 9-4 for the season, holding third place and staying one win behind the host Trojans (10-3).
Han-Wei finished just a single stroke behind fellow 2024 All-SFL honoree Paavni Behl, who led ORHS with a 37. Trojan Emily Guan tallied a 39 as the only other player under 40.
Freshman Sophia Gonzales tallied the Troubadours' next low score with an 8-over 44. Sophomore Chloe Jun shot a 45, while juniors Nydia Garcia and Momina Niazi matched with 48s. Freshman Riya Chima completed the SF lineup with a 49 score.
Ultimately, Oak Ridge won not only due to its top two players but also its depth, with two other scorers – Grace Habra (43) and Amanda Guan (43) – finishing the under bogey.
St. Francis wraps up its regular season with a home dual against Davis on Thursday. The match will also serve as Senior Day, with a ceremony honoring Han-Wei and Gianna Seghesio taking place after the conclusion of the round. Players tee off from No. 10 of the Arcade Creek course starting at 4 p.m.
