    FOLSOM, Calif. – Sophomore Tayli Paeu-Lindgren broke the 34-, 35- and 36-foot barrier in the triple jump for the first time in her brief career to finish second overall, while the 4x800 relay foursome of Sophia Kadel, Sunny Schranz, Halle Welch and Miya Menza opened the running schedule with a time of nine minutes, 40.55 seconds to finish third, highlighting St. Francis on the first day of the Sac-Joaquin Section Div. I track & field championship meet at Folsom High’s Prairie City Stadium Tuesday.

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Freshman Halle Welch and sophomores Jasleen Gandhoke, Alexa Randall and Sunny Schranz each hit sizable personal records to highlight St. Francis action at the Sacramento Meet of Champions, hosted by Bella Vista High at American River College Saturday. The MOC consists of two tiers of competition: an Open session in the morning and early afternoon, followed by the Invitational portion in the evening.

    DAVIS, Calif. – Sophomore Jasleen Gandhoke won the girls’ varsity 300-meter hurdles with a personal-record time of 47.61 seconds while finishing second in the 100 hurdles and high jump, while freshman Miya Menza runnered-up in both distance events, leading St. Francis at Davis Senior High’s Halden Invitational, held at Ron & Mary Brown Stadium Saturday.

    ARCADIA, Calif. – Two relay squads posted times on St. Francis’ top-10 leaderboard to highlight action at the Arcadia Invitational track & field meet at Arcadia High Friday and Saturday. The foursome of Miya Menza, Sophia Kadel, Sunny Schranz and Halle Welch finished third in the girls’ Seeded 4x1600 relay on Friday; then Schranz, Menza, Welch and Alexa Randall joined forces in the Invitational distance medley relay on Saturday.
