Fifteen Troubies named to spring All-SFL first teams
June 09, 2025SACRAMENTO, Calif. – A total of 15 St. Francis athletes won 11 first-team all-league awards as the Sierra Foothill League rolled out its spring standings and honors. -
Krotine selected for Optimist All-Stars
June 04, 2025SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Senior outfielder Claire Krotine was selected as the lone St. Francis representative to the area Optimist All-Star softball game, hosted by the Sacramento Breakfast Optimist club at Folsom Lake College on Thursday, June 12. Game times are 4 p.m. for small schools, 7 p.m. for large schools. Krotine, who will play collegiate ball at Santa Clara next year, is a member of the South team in the large-school game. -
SF, Davis battle to 10-inning Senior Day draw
May 07, 2025SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Sophomore catcher Jocelyn Villaflor hit 4-for-5 with two doubles and three runs batted in while junior pitcher Reese Lewis added 3-for-3 and a sacrifice fly, as St. Francis wrapped its regular season with a 10-inning, 9-9 tie with Davis in Sierra Foothill League girls’ softball action Wednesday. -
Late Whitney rallies spoil SF comeback effort
May 05, 2025SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Senior shortstop Kylee Garrett hit 3-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and another batted in, while Reese Lewis and Kaili Heeb each collected two hits and RBI, but St. Francis had its two-run comeback rally in the fifth spoiled when Whitney piled up 10 runs in the final two innings, capping a wild 12-4 Troubadour loss in Sierra Foothill League softball action at Schuster Field Monday. -

April 25, 2025TRACY, Calif. – Freshman pitcher Kaili Heeb and senior right fielder Claire Krotine each hit 3-for-4 to lift St. Francis to an 11-5 win over Ben Holt Academy in the third-place game of the NorCal Leadoff Classic softball tournament at Tracy Legacy Fields Saturday. This followed a 9-3 loss to North Coast Section power Vintage in the semifinal round. -

April 24, 2025TRACY, Calif. – Senior right fielder Claire Krotine hit a combined 6-for-8 with three triples, junior shortstop Isabella Barge delivered the game-winning hit in the eighth inning in a 9-8 win over Kimball, then freshman Kaili Heeb finished 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs to lead the offense while going 3.2 innings in relief during an 11-4 win over Berkeley, completing a first-day sweep for St. Francis at the NorCal Leadoff Classic at Legacy Field Thursday. -

April 19, 2025WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Junior center fielder Alexis McFarland hit a combined 7-for-9 with three extra-base hits, five runs scored and four more batted in, but St. Francis failed to turn 29 total hits into victories, dropping both ends of a non-league softball doubleheader at River City Saturday. The Troubadours fell to the host Raiders, 15-14, then lost a neutral-site game against former Delta League foe Pleasant Grove in the nightcap. -
