Troubies sweep West Park in road tripleheader
ROSEVILLE, Calif. – Junior outside hitter Sophia Palmeri knocked out eight kills on offense, junior opposite Gilly Glikman posted six of her team's 10 blocks on net defense, while junior outside hitter Hailey Sutton patrolled the floor with a team-leading 13 digs, as St. Francis swept West Park, 25-21, 25-18, 25-14, in a non-league girls' prep volleyball tripleheader Thursday night.

The Troubadours remain undefeated with a 3-0 overall record.

Preceding the varsity match, St. Francis frosh (25-10, 30-28) and junior varsity (25-22, 25-10) also secured straight-set victories. The Troubie freshies improve to 2-0 for the year, with the jayvees moving to 7-1 overall.

Oddly, SF rolled past the Panthers despite only 23 kills and an overall attack rate of .072. Mercy Collier served up three aces with setters Harper Rios and Katie Kramer adding two each. Senior libero Malia Fat chipped in another nine digs.

The program's first road tripleheader leads into Saturday's Holy Court rivalry match with Christian Brothers. The battle between the two largest Catholic high schools in the area begins at 3:30 p.m. (frosh), with JV following at 4:30 and varsity at 6 p.m. A limited number of general admission tickets are still available at GoFan (https://gofan.co/event/4024539?schoolId=CA8032).
