    SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Junior Maria McDougall and freshman Alyssa Gutierrez earned Sierra Foothill League MVP honors for girls’ tennis and cross country, respectively, as the league rolled out its fall slate of standings and awards.

    FRESNO, Calif. – Freshman Alyssa Gutierrez placed second out of a field of 216 finishers with a time of 17 minutes, 17.16 seconds, leading St. Francis to a runner-up team score of 101 points in the girls’ Division III race at the CIF State Cross Country Championships, held at Woodward Park Saturday.
  • Gutierrez, Troubies win titles at SJS championships

    FOLSOM, Calif. – Freshman Alyssa Gutierrez won the girls’ Division III individual title with a time of 17 minutes, 54.6 seconds, leading St. Francis to its third consecutive team championship and its 16th overall. All seven Troubadours finished among the top 20 in the varsity race.

    ANGELS CAMP, Calif. – Sophomore Emily Colonnello led a first- through 10th-place St. Francis finish in the Division III frosh-soph race, junior Mia Hollar won the girls’ junior varsity event, and Halle Welch led a tight pack of Troubadours to team victory in the D-III varsity section of the Sac-Joaquin Subsection cross country championships, hosted by Bret Harte High School at “Frogtown, USA” on the Calaveras County Fairgrounds Saturday.

    ROCKLIN, Calif. – Freshman Alyssa Gutierrez won the girls’ varsity three-mile race with a time of 17 minutes, 6.3 seconds while sophomores Sophia Kadel and Halle Welch also posted all-league finishes, as St. Francis placed fourth as a team at the Sierra Foothill League cross country championships at Jessup University Saturday.
  • Gutierrez wins Grizzly 3,200 with historic time

    GRANITE BAY, Calif. – Freshman Alyssa Gutierrez captured the overall girls’ individual title at the Grizzly 3,200 cross country meet with a winning time of 10 minutes, 37.36 seconds, fifth in St. Francis history and the best in SF annals by a freshman.
  • St. Francis wins Prandini title at Clovis Invite

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Freshman Alyssa Gutierrez finished fifth overall with a time of 17 minutes, 30.1 seconds, leading St. Francis to the team title in the Carlo Prandini Girls’ Championship 5-kilometer race at the 46th running of the Clovis Invitational high school cross country meet Friday.
  • Gutierrez wins varsity 5K at Bulldog Invite

    FOLSOM, Calif. – Freshman Alyssa Gutierrez won the varsity girls’ 5-kilometer race with a time of 17 minutes, 59.5 seconds, helping St. Francis finish second in a 14-team field with 59 points, while sophomore Emily Colonnello won the junior varsity 5K at 20:30.1 to lead a near-perfect finish at the Bulldog Invitational high school cross country meet at Willow Hill Reservoir Saturday.
  • Hollar, Thorall win individual races at Woodbridge Classic

    IRVINE, Calif. – Freshman Holly Thorall and junior Mia Hollar won their respective races, while freshman Alyssa Gutierrez led St. Francis with a 19th-place time of 16 minutes, 37.4 seconds in the Bob Day Girls’ Sweepstakes three-mile main event, highlighting St. Francis at the 44th Woodbridge Cross Country Classic at Orange County Great Park Saturday.
  • Gutierrez, Colonnello lead Troubies at first SFL meet

    ROCKLIN, Calif. – Freshman Alyssa Gutierrez placed second in the varsity girls’ 5-kilometer race with a time of 18 minutes, 17.3 seconds; then sophomore Emily Colonnello and freshman Bianka Bagatelos formed a 1-2 Troubadour exacta atop the junior varsity 3K leaderboard, as St. Francis returned to the Sunset Whitney Recreation Area for the Sierra Foothill League center cross country meet Wednesday.

    CERES, Calif. – Freshman Alyssa Gutierrez won the Invitational 5-kilometer race with a time of 17 minutes, 8.9 seconds; Emilia Ryan led four Troubadours among the top five in the frosh-soph 2K, while Mia Hollar led a second varsity squad to victory in the Small Schools race, as St. Francis dominated the field at the Kim Duyst Twilight Invitational at River Oak Golf Course Saturday. 
  • Gutierrez, 'A' relay lead Troubies at SWRA Soiree

    ROCKLIN, Calif. – Freshman Alyssa Gutierrez won the marquee “Soiree” girls’ heat with a time of 10 minutes, 26.8 seconds, while the relay foursome of Miya Menza, Sophia Kadel, Sunny Schranz and Halle Welch captured the opening 4xmile relay at 23:17.4, leading St. Francis at the Soiree at SWRA cross country meet at the Sunset Whitney Recreation Area Saturday.
  • Troubie cross opens strong at Lagoon Valley Classic

    VACAVILLE, Calif. – Freshman Alyssa Gutierrez and senior Jordan Brace won the frosh-soph and junior varsity races, respectively, while junior Sunny Schranz led a tight St. Francis front pack to victory in the varsity 3-mile race at the Lagoon Valley Classic cross country meet at Lagoon Valley Park Saturday.
