SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Freshman Gia Navarrete, sophomore Emma Dietrich and sophomore Kendal Douglas each scored hat tricks in a 14-5 win against Sonora, highlighting St. Francis' Friday split at the Woodcreek Invitational girls' water polo tournament at the Roseville Aquatics Complex.
The Troubadours later dropped their afternoon contest against Rio Americano, 18-2, to move to 3-5 on the season.
Navarrete also had four steals and three assists in the victory against the Wildcats. Senior Rose Haag added a goal and tallied a whopping seven steals in that contest, while Savannah Hamilton chipped in two goals with four steals. Maya Wenceslao also had two goals, both in St. Francis' 8-2 first half.

Ava Jack and Wenceslao had the one goals in the loss to the Raiders. Hamilton led the way with four steals while drawing an exclusion for the Troubies.
St. Francis concludes play at the Woodcreek tourney with a 10:50 a.m. game against Sierra, followed by an afternoon place game against Miramonte JV, McClatchy, River City or the host Timberwolves.
