ELK GROVE, Calif. – Second-seeded sophomore Alisha Anwar will face off against teammate Adithi Benush, the fourth-overall seed, on Thursday in the Delta League Singles Championship match.

Anwar defeated teammate Izzy Asker in the semifinals 7-5, 6-0 to reach the finals. She won her opening matches over Mars Marquez of Davis and Athena Wilson of Cosumnes Oaks without dropping a game. Benush upset top seed Lyna Jiang of Davis 6-1, 7-6 (7-4) to setup the All-Troubie final.

Asker reached the semifinals after upsetting the No. 3 seed Hiya Lohia of Pleasant Grove in the second round. She will play for third place on Thursday against Jiang for a spot in the Sac-Jaoquin Section finals. Anwar and Bensh both qualified for the section tournament by reaching the finals.

The Delta League Doubles Championships will be held on Thursday at Laguna Creek Racquet Club starting at 9 a.m.
