SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The St. Francis lacrosse team was named the Sac-Joaquin Section Academic Team champion among four Troubadour teams placing among the top five schools in the section, joining swimming and diving, track and field and softball.

St. Francis was the only girl's school to have all four of its programs rank among the top five in the spring sports rankings.

Lacrosse posted a 3.473 team grade point average to top Christian Brothers (3.244) and Oak Ridge (3.220). It is the second consecutive section academic team championship for the program, the only Troubadour team to capture a team academic title.

Softball (3.686) ranked second overall behind Christian Brothers (3.743) with the track and field team listing third with a 3.543 GPA behind Sacramento Country Day (3.681) and Franklin (3.616).

The swimming and diving team was fifth overall with a 3.424 cumulative team GPA.
