Troubie trio to rep St. Francis in Optimist All-Stars

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Infielder Isabella Barge, outfielder Marissa Jensen and outfielder Alexis McFarland will represent St. Francis in the annual Sacramento Breakfast Optimist Softball All-Stars. The Troubadour trio plays for the South team in the Large School nightcap.

The all-star event, featuring the area's top senior players, takes place at Folsom Lake College on Wednesday, June 10. The Small School game starts at 4 p.m., with the large schools squaring off at 7 p.m. Parking costs $2, while tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children. All proceeds support Optimist International's educational programs.

All three SF grads are committed to compete for NCAA Division I or II programs: Barge to Yale, Jensen to Cal State San Marcos, and McFarland to San Francisco State.

Barge enjoyed her best offensive season as a senior, finishing with a slash line of .291/.344/.500 while leading her team in extra -base hits (11), triples (3), home runs (2) and RBIs (21). Jensen matched Barge with 11 XBHs, with seven doubles and two homers leading or sharing the Troubie lead. She hit .319/.337/.505 with 19 RBIs. Meanwhile, McFarland paced St. Francis with an .962 OPS (.364/.462/.500) with her 24 runs and six stolen bases also tops on the roster.

The Troubadours went 12-16 for the year, finished second in the Platinum division of the NFCA NorCal Leadoff Classic, earned a No. 12 seed in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division II playoffs and picked off a 2-0 upset against No. 5 Kimball in the postseason opener. The 2026 Optimist game will feature the largest representation of Troubadours since Kayla Garber, Grace Jenkins and Hope Jenkins took part in the 2022 edition at Capital Christian.
