    FRESNO, Calif. – Freshman Halle Welch placed 41st overall and tops among her Troubadour teammates to lead St. Francis to a seventh-place total of 245 points in the girls’ Division III 5-kilometer race at the CIF Cross Country Championships, held in Woodward Park Saturday.

    FOLSOM, Calif. – St. Francis placed four runners in the top 16 overall to compile a first-place score of 77 points and capturing the program’s 15th all-time Sac-Joaquin Section cross country championship at the Willow Hill Reservoir in Folsom Saturday afternoon.

    ANGELS CAMP, Calif. – Freshman Miya Menza, freshman Halley Welch and sophomore Sunny Schranz crossed the finish line with 1.1 seconds of each other to give St. Francis three scorers among the top 16 and amass a second-place team score of 112 points in the Division III varsity girls’ race at the Sac-Joaquin Subsection cross country meet, held at Frogtown on the Calaveras County Fairgrounds Saturday.

    GRANITE BAY, Calif. – Freshman Halle Welch placed seventh in her heat and eighth overall with a time of 11 minutes, 27.61 seconds while fellow ninth grader Miya Menza finished one place and less than three seconds behind her, leading St. Francis at the Granite Bay’s Grizzly 3,200 distance running meet.

    FRESNO, Calif. – Emilia Ryan won her division’s frosh-soph 5-kilometer race with a time of 20 minutes, 36.9 seconds, while Jordan Brace and Sunny Schranz led the Troubadours in the junior varsity and varsity events, respectively, as St. Francis competed at the ASICS Clovis Invitational high school cross country meet at Woodward Park Friday.
