November 30, 2024FRESNO, Calif. – Freshman Halle Welch placed 41st overall and tops among her Troubadour teammates to lead St. Francis to a seventh-place total of 245 points in the girls’ Division III 5-kilometer race at the CIF Cross Country Championships, held in Woodward Park Saturday.

November 16, 2024FOLSOM, Calif. – St. Francis placed four runners in the top 16 overall to compile a first-place score of 77 points and capturing the program’s 15th all-time Sac-Joaquin Section cross country championship at the Willow Hill Reservoir in Folsom Saturday afternoon.

Troubies finish second at SJS subsections
November 09, 2024ANGELS CAMP, Calif. – Freshman Miya Menza, freshman Halley Welch and sophomore Sunny Schranz crossed the finish line with 1.1 seconds of each other to give St. Francis three scorers among the top 16 and amass a second-place team score of 112 points in the Division III varsity girls’ race at the Sac-Joaquin Subsection cross country meet, held at Frogtown on the Calaveras County Fairgrounds Saturday.

October 19, 2024GRANITE BAY, Calif. – Freshman Halle Welch placed seventh in her heat and eighth overall with a time of 11 minutes, 27.61 seconds while fellow ninth grader Miya Menza finished one place and less than three seconds behind her, leading St. Francis at the Granite Bay’s Grizzly 3,200 distance running meet.

Troubies preview state championship course at Clovis Invite
October 11, 2024FRESNO, Calif. – Emilia Ryan won her division’s frosh-soph 5-kilometer race with a time of 20 minutes, 36.9 seconds, while Jordan Brace and Sunny Schranz led the Troubadours in the junior varsity and varsity events, respectively, as St. Francis competed at the ASICS Clovis Invitational high school cross country meet at Woodward Park Friday.

Troubie XC sweeps varsity, frosh-soph, JV at Laythe Invite
October 05, 2024FOLSOM, Calif. – Senior Ashlyn Smith and freshman Emilia Ryan won the girls’ 3,400-meter junior varsity and frosh-soph small-school races, respectively, while sophomore Sunny Schranz paced 11th of 153 runners in the varsity 5K, helping St. Francis win all three of its team competitions at the Tom Laythe Invitational cross country meet at Willow Hill Reservoir Saturday.

September 21, 2024IRVINE, Calif. – St. Francis cross country continued to show its strength in its freshman class, including Halle Welch and Miya Menza leading the way to a win in the Gold varsity event and six Troubadours among the top 18 en route to a team title in the Gold frosh race, highlighting the 43rd Woodbridge Cross Country Classic at Orange County Great Park Saturday.

August 31, 2024ROCKLIN, Calif. – Senior Lucie Pickering Pick placed 54th as the top St. Francis finisher in the varsity four-kilometer race while sophomore Sunny Schranz set a meet record and led five Troubadours among the top eight in the frosh-soph race, highlighting the season-opening Oakmont Invitational at Johnson-Springview Park Saturday morning.
