FRESNO, Calif. – St. Francis freshman Alyssa Gutierrez ran the 3,200-meter run with a time of 10 minutes, 15.15 seconds, good for fourth place in the meet and breaking her own school record by more than three seconds as her school's lone representative of the 106th CIF state track & field championship meet, held at Buchanan High Friday and Saturday.
Gutierrez' finish represents the best by a Troubadour since Isabella Fauria took fourth in the 800 in 2019. Her time surpassed the 10:18.86 run one week prior at the Sac-Joaquin Section Masters meet. In addition to the 3,200, Gutierrez finished her first SF season with a share of the school 4x800 relay, the No. 2 4x1600 and No. 3 1,600 time in program history.
