FOLSOM, Calif. -- Freshman guard Mackenzie Tan sank a pair of three-pointers as part of her team-leading 10 points, but St. Francis walked away with a 65-23 loss to undefeated Folsom in non-league junior varsity girls' basketball Wednesday night.
The Troubadours snap their win streak at six straight, moving to 14-4 for the year. The Bulldogs improve to 19-0 for the year.
Tan netted a trey in the second quarter then recorded seven points in the fourth. Eva Karamanoukian added buckets in each of the first two frames for four more points, while Sydney Teoh and Aubrey O'Donnell chipped in three apiece. Folsom led 18-4 after the first quarter and 38-9 at halftime, with sophomore center Camille Hakes leading the offense with 18.
Wednesday's game was a late add to the schedule for the JV Gold, which fielded a short-handed roster.
The Troubies join their varsity sisters in back-to-back Delta League doubleheaders against Davis, first on the road Friday (5:30 p.m.) then at home on Saturday (noon).
