Get to Know: Lacrosse’s #10 Marin Anderson

Marin Anderson is a fourth-year lacrosse player who is a two-year letter winner for the Troubadours. She is considering Portland, Seattle and Montana for school next year. She plans to study chemistry. Her favorite movie is Forrest Gump.

What does graduating from St. Francis High School mean to you?
"It is a great accomplishment."

Have you made any college plans?
"I probably will be attending the University of Portland. 

How is lacrosse going for you this season?
"It is going pretty well. The new coaches have been a big improvement and there is a lot more energy on the team."

What do your senior teammates mean to you?
"We all really close. They are really good friends and are people that have my back."

Do you have a favorite moment from your career?
"The overnights (are my favorite moments). Those are always really fun."

How have you got better during your career?
"I have got better with my lacrosse skills. I went from never playing before to now playing varsity."

What do you like about the game?
"I like that it is a very team sport. Guys lacrosse is very physical. I like how it is strategic."

What are the challenges of being an athlete playing with diabetes?
"The biggest obstacle is getting low or high blood sugar, especially low. You can't function very well. During physical activity, I tend to have low blood sugar."

Do you see yourself as an inspiration for others?
"I think so because people get discouraged."

What is fun fact about you?
"When I was born my feet curved outside. I had to wear special shoes."

What animal best represents you: Owl.
What is your Greatest Achievement: Running 13 miles by myself.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be: To Fly.
If you could time travel, would you go to the past or the future: Past.
