Tell us about your college choice, the University of Michigan.
"I went to visit in October and I fell in love with it. Former Troubie Celeste Holben '13 goes there and she showed us around (campus) and her sorority house. It is beautiful and amazing. It was my top school and I didn't think I was going to get in so I didn't tell anyone it was my top school. I got deferred in the beginning and was supposed to find out April 1. I was scrolling through my email and it said, "Congratulations you are in!" I started crying and I called my mom."
What was your biggest takeaway from your Baltimore Service trip?
"It has changed the way I look at people who go to shelters. We talked in Social Justice that a lot of people have the notion that homeless people are lazy or did not take care of themselves to get to that position. After talking to people and hearing their stories, it is a lot more complicated than it looks on the surface."
What has your lacrosse experience been like?
"It has been so fun especially this year. I feel like our team is a lot closer than we have been in past years and we are good friends. It is a very supporting community. Coach Jules is hard but she is such a good coach. She gives good advice and knows what to say at the right time. I think lacrosse is going to get a lot better in the future."
What are you looking forward to about graduation?
"It is kinda bittersweet saying goodbye to friends. But starting a new chapter of my life and meeting new people (will be fun)."
What has been your favorite lacrosse moment?
"The sideline cheers this year. We started doing this new thing like the Monmouth basketball team. If you are on the sideline, it is really fun organizing with everyone. If you just scored a goal and look over to the sideline, they are always doing something crazy. It is very uplifting and exciting."
