SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Junior Arden Han-Wei scored a 1-under-par 35 while sophomore Nydia Garcia turned in a 3-over 39, leading St. Francis to a 210-241 win over Rocklin in a Sierra Foothill League girls' golf dual match at Haggin Oaks Thursday.

This is the fourth straight round under par for Han-Wei, who helped the Troubies improve to 5-3 for the season. She birdied the par-4 10th and 15th holes, and ended with a par-5 on the Arcade Creek's famed "Doublecross" home hole.

Freshman Chloe Jun finished with a 40 while sophomore Momina Niazi carded a 43. Junior Gianna Seghesio and sophomore Brooke Bolman, the latter making her varsity debut, each finished with matching 53s. The Troubies largely won the match due to their depth, with the top two Thunder players – Keerit Basra and Kate Hough – firing rounds of 38 and 39 repsectively. However, Rocklin's next two scorers each finished at 54.

St. Francis takes a brief break from dual play, taking on the entire SFL in the league's lone center tournament on Tuesday at Timber Creek. However, that event will also include the Troubies' head-to-head road matchup with Folsom, originally scheduled on that date.
