The Troubadours extend their season-opening win streak to eight.

Fellow sophomore Emmy Cheatham added another seven tallies and four steals. Overall, Bashore shot 13-for-22 from the floor and 10-for-12 from the free-throw line in matching the Flames' total scoring output. Bashore also grabbed eight rebounds and led SF with six teals.
Gold's tournament run began with a 43-41 battle over Franklin on Thursday followed by a 41-35 victory against the host Eagles on Friday. The JV portion on the tournament consisted of a standard eight-team, double-elimination format.
St. Francis' younger JV Red squad also competed in the Folsom-Vista tourney. The Troubies played their best basketball of the weekend, with freshman Sadie Favreau pouring in nine points, but they ultimately fell to Woodcreek by a 34-21 final in the fifth-place game. This followed a 56-4 loss to Nevada Union in the morning. The frosh-soph division of the Winter Classic had six teams forming two round-robin pools, followed by first-, third- and fifth-place contests.
All three Troubie hoop squads converge at home for a tripleheader on Tuesday. JV Gold and varsity take on Will C. Wood at 5:30 and 7 p.m., respectively. JV Red opens the night with a 4 p.m. tip against Antelope.
