How does it feel to be on the varsity basketball team?
"It is super cool. It has been a goal of mine since freshman year."
What do you love about basketball and how long have you played the sport?
"I think I like the competitiveness. I started playing in the third grade. I started because I saw the jerseys and wanted a jersey. In the fourth grade I made the winning shot (in a game) and I have continued playing ever since."
What has been your favorite St. Francis basketball moment?
"Last year when we went to Grant on the team bus, I played my best game of the season. That is my favorite moment."
Last year you were one of two student-athletes that played three sports. How do you manage playing three sports with school?
"It keeps me focused and not procrastinating at home. I have a limited time to do homework and I stay focused."
What about each sports draws you to it?
"I like golf because it is a sport you can play your whole life. I have been playing basketball since I was young and I continue to love it. I started track originally for conditioning for basketball and the girls on the team are really fun and nice. I want to do it again."
What are you goals in golf to help get into the top six next year?
"I really want to practice over the summer, working on my short game and driver so I can make the top six."
What do you like about track and the 400 meters?
"You have to have the stamina to sprint it all. I like the fast pace of the event but it is not too long."
What are your goals for the basketball season?
"I want to improve on my dribbling skills and three-point shot to hopefully get more playing time."
What does the team need to do with the start of league play this week?
"We need to continue working hard in practice and rebound."
What is your favorite aspect of attending St. Francis?
"I like to attend St. Francis because I have made a lot of friends here through athletics and school. The sisterhood is very strong."
