Julia Razo is in her fourth season overall and third full season with the varsity team (she was called up freshman season). She was a black belt before concentrating on basketball. She plans to play in college next season but has not chosen a school yet. She is averaging a career-best 11.6 points and 4.9 rebounds this season and scored a career-best 22 against Antelope on Saturday.

You are coming off one of your best games of the year at Antelope. How did it feel to have such a big contribution in the win on Saturday? 
"It felt really good. I did not even know it went that well. I was in the moment."

What are your goals for this season?
"I definitely want to go far again (in the playoffs). It was a really fun (experience) and new for me. For St. Francis it has not happened very often. We want to do the best that we can. The farther the better."

What was your favorite memory from last year?
"After we won NorCals, we were all recording each other screaming with the plaque. We had a lot of fun."

How have you got better this season?
"I am more confident and composed when it comes to tough situations."

What did it mean to you to be named the Homecoming Queen?
"I was really shocked. I was grateful and thankful. I got really close with a lot of people that I probably would not have met without that experience. It was a lot of fun."

What does the team need to do better?
"We need to believe more in each other and the whole process because we are such a young team. We need to keep giving it all we got because it is going to fly by."

What does your senior classmate Janae Fairbrook mean to you?
"I have been on the same team with her since freshman year. We have definitely have got really close. We bicker a lot but it is always a great time with Janae. I am very thankful to be here with her for our senior year."
