SACRAMENTO, Calif. – St. Francis Catholic High School honored 10 senior students who have committed to compete in five different collegiate sports during the fall edition of the 2025-26 College Athletics Commitment celebration Wednesday morning.
Alphabetically, the panel of honored Troubadours comprised Izzie Barge, Yale (softball); Miley Blough, Nevada (soccer); Sara Ellis, UC Davis (lacrosse); Tatum Hall, Tennessee (rowing); Marissa Jensen , Cal State San Marcos (softball) Chloe Johnson, Biola (volleyball); Keira Miles, Denver (lacrosse); Julia Nielsen, Webster (softball); Marissa Ow, Saint Mary's (soccer); and Holland Sperber, Houston Christian (soccer).
St. Francis athletics director Ryan Chisolm also recognized coaches, teachers, guidance counselors and administrators who played a part in the Troubadours' academic, athletic and spiritual growth during their time at the Sacramento area's premier all-girls college prep school.
"These young women exemplify dedication and excellence in athletics, academics and service to the community," said Chisolm in his remarks. "To honor and celebrate their achievements is a privilege for any athletics director. This is certainly a highlight on the calendar every year.
The ceremony coincides with the first allowable signing day for NCAA Divisions I and II, although students headed to any levels of collegiate sports are invited to participate. It is the first of two such events, with a similar celebration scheduled for the late spring. The event was previously dubbed the National Letter of Intent & College Commitment celebration, but the NCAA elected to discontinue the NLI last year.
