Dear Volleyball Campers and Parents,
Our Volleyball staff is so excited for camp next week!! Before you get here we wanted to send out a few logistics and reminders to make your first day goes as smoothly as possible. When you arrive, please enter though the gym doors. You will be met by Troubie counselors for check-in and introductions. Please be on time each morning as we have jammed-packed sessions planed and we don't want you to miss out. If you are going to miss a day, for whatever reason, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Parents, if your child is not present we will be calling to verify their absence please help make this processes easier by notifying us if you plan to miss a day. We will have a Certified Athletic Trainer on site so if you have medication or medical conditions you feel we should be aware of don't hesitate to let us know. Please make sure you pack your emergency medication every day (epi-pens, inhalers, insulin etc.). Eat a good breakfast before you get here so we will be ready to go!
Parents, we love you but we are asking you not to stay and watch until Friday. Along with teaching volleyball skills we also want our campers to gain confidence, independence and friendships that will last. We find the presence of parents often causes a distraction and can inhibit the growth potential for the week. So enjoy a well-deserved break! Go grab a coffee or run some errands. We'll be happy to see you again at pick-up. The gym foyer doors will be open 5 mins before camp ends. Please pick up your camper there.
In the camp description we gave you a list of items to bring but it is included in this note as a reminder.
- Water bottle
- Athletic clothing to play volleyball
- Athletic shoes
- Knee pads (optional)
- A can-do attitude ready to learn and be challenged!
This is going to be a great camp! We can't wait to meet all of you next week.
