SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Junior Julia Geer carded a four-over-par 76, tops on her team and third among the six-team field, as St. Francis High School placed third in a Delta League girls' center match at Wildhawk Golf Club Monday afternoon.
Sophomore Olivia Lee was close behind with an 84 score while senior Justine Canio and junior Sophia Edwards posted matching 92 scores, helping the Troubadours to a team total of 450. Pleasant Grove won the tourney with 376 strokes while Sheldon was a distant second at 433. Franklin (459), Davis (467) and Cosumnes Oaks (505) rounded out the team scoring in fourth through sixth place.
Monday's center match, the third of three for the Delta League this fall, concludes the regular season for the SFHS golfers.
The team will begin Sac-Joaquin Section postseason play at Rancho Murieta Country Club on Monday, October 25.
