JV Lacrosse Gets First Win in Holy Stix over Falcons

MATHER, Calif. – The St. Francis junior varsity lacrosse team posted a 7-5 victory over Christian Brothers in the annual Holy Stix rivalry game.

Hannah Cabral scored three goals to lead the Troubadours with four players adding single goal as the team tallied a season-high seven goals in the contest.

Jana Lucas, Caroline Forsyth, Tarka Kerrthy and Grace Flesher added goals on the game.

"I felt that we did really good and worked really well together," said Lucas. "We all supported reach other and our adrenaline was pumping throughout the school day. We really wanted to get a big one against CB and we did."

It was the first win for the team this season. Arianna Ross had 14 saves in the goal for the team. Natalie Czabaraneck and Peyton Sievers added assists in the win.

The team returns to action net Thursday at Oak Ridge at 5:30 p.m. and host Bella Vista at 6 p.m. on Friday before Spring break.
